Will PSD output recover the original layers?+
Output is an 8-bit RGB PSD with one rendered pixel layer, its transparency and a saved composite. It does not recreate source layers, masks, editable text, sensor RAW data or HDR range. The developed SDR image is the editing starting point.
Will PSD still be an editable camera RAW?+
Verified cameras: SD9 and DP1. Other classic camera variants require their own validation. Classic X3F sensor data is developed using factory colour calibration into 16-bit sRGB. Denoising and the Sigma Photo Pro look are not applied; noise and clipped colours can remain. Standard image outputs use 8-bit pixels. EXR/HDR store the linearized developed image, not original Foveon sensor precision or dynamic range. Merrill and Quattro files are not supported.

Will metadata and colour profiles be retained?+
This output writer does not preserve source EXIF, GPS or XMP metadata blocks. Original ICC profiles are not copied. Verified cameras: SD9 and DP1.
